Reset your password
If you've forgotten your password (or just want to change it), use the forgot-password flow.
From the sign-in page
- Go to apexmentum.com/login.
- Click Forgot password?.
- Enter your email address.
- Click Send reset link.
We'll send an email with a one-time link. Click it within the next 30 minutes (after that it expires for security). On the reset page, enter your new password twice and submit.
From inside the app
If you're already signed in and want to change your password:
- Click your name in the top-right.
- Open Account settings → Security.
- Under Password, click Change password.
- Enter your current password, then your new password twice.
We require new passwords to be at least 12 characters. They can be any mix — we don't enforce "must have a number and a special character" because long passwords are much stronger than short complex ones. A passphrase like "purple pancake morning ritual" is great.
Password requirements
- Minimum 12 characters
- Not a common-leaked password (we check against a known-breached list)
- Different from your last 5 passwords on this account
After resetting
When your password changes, we sign you out of every other device. You'll need to sign in fresh on each. This is intentional — if someone had stolen your old password, the change locks them out immediately.
If you have 2FA enabled, it stays on after a password reset. You'll still need a code from your authenticator on your next sign-in.
I'm not getting the reset email
Check your spam folder first. If it's truly missing:
- Confirm you used the right email address (whatever you sign in with).
- Wait 5 minutes and try again — there's a small rate limit to prevent abuse.
- Check that your IT or email filter isn't blocking apexmentum.com.
Still stuck? Email support@apexmentum.com from the email address on your account and we'll help.
My clinic admin can also reset me
If you're a clinic staff member and can't get the reset email working, your clinic admin can:
- Go to 👤 Staff Dashboard in the sidebar.
- Open your account.
- Click Reset password.
They'll see a temporary password they can pass to you securely (in person, by Signal/iMessage, not email). On your next sign-in you'll be prompted to change it.
Best practices
- Use a password manager. 1Password, Bitwarden, iCloud Keychain, Chrome — pick one and use it. Long unique passwords per site is the standard.
- Set up passkeys. Then you barely need a password at all.
- Enable 2FA. Even great passwords can leak — 2FA makes leaks unimportant.
