Generate patient podcasts
The Podcast tool turns a single topic (or a list of topics) into a short, professionally-narrated audio episode. Two main use cases:
- Per-patient education. Generate a 3–5 minute episode walking a specific patient through their treatment plan, supplement protocol, or condition. Sent directly to their portal.
- Public clinic content. Build out a podcast series on common topics in your niche — sleep, gut health, longevity — and embed the player on your website.
Generate a podcast
- From the sidebar, open 🎬 Content & Videos, then click Podcasts.
- Pick a starting point:
- From a topic — type something like "What patients should know about magnesium glycinate".
- From a chart note — pick a recent visit to generate a personalized recap.
- From a handout — convert an AI handout into audio.
- Choose a voice. We offer several professionally-trained AI voices in different styles (warm, authoritative, conversational).
- Click Generate.
You'll see the episode appear in a few minutes with a player and a downloadable MP3.
Episode structure
A generated episode follows a familiar podcast format:
- Intro (your clinic name and the topic)
- The core content (3–4 minutes of explanation, examples, takeaways)
- Closing (a call to action — book a visit, complete a form, etc.)
You can edit the intro and outro copy from Settings → Podcast defaults to keep them on-brand across every episode.
Sending an episode to a patient
When generated from a chart note or handout, the episode is automatically linked to that patient. Click Send to patient portal and it lands in their portal under Documents with audio playback.
Publishing publicly
If you build out a podcast series for marketing:
- Episodes can be published to your public clinic site
- Each episode has its own shareable URL
- We generate transcripts automatically for SEO
You can also export episodes as MP3 and upload to your own Apple Podcasts / Spotify channels.
Voice options
We offer multiple AI voices, including:
- A warm, conversational tone (good for patient-facing content)
- A more authoritative clinical tone
- A few options in different accents and registers
You can preview each before generating an episode.
Limits
Podcasts share a content generation budget with handouts and avatar videos. Your remaining budget is shown in Settings → Usage.
Quality notes
Generated audio is high-fidelity (44.1 kHz MP3) but is unmistakably AI-narrated. We recommend being transparent with patients that this is computer-generated — most patients are perfectly comfortable with that, and authenticity builds trust.
